About Our Story Hours

Our Story Hour programs introduce young children to books, rhymes, music and other fun activities. The spring session of our Story Hours will begin the week of March 4th  and run through April 18th. All Story Hours are held in the Story Time Room and registration is not required. There are no regularly scheduled Story Hours in May, August, and December. 

Bouncing Babies (ages 0-18 months)

Thursdays at 9:15 a.m.

Bouncing Babies story hour includes rhymes, songs, bounces and books just right for your little one! Build your baby's foundation for lifelong reading and learning with this engaging story time. Designed for children from birth-18 months and their caregivers.

Press Play! (best for ages 18 months-4 years)

Tuesdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Play is an integral part of  a child's journey to reading. We would love to have you come and play with your child. Each week we offer different types of play prompts, sensory bins, & books to share. Press Play! is geared for kids 18 months-4 years, with their grown-up.

Story Time Together: 18 months through preschool

Mondays at 9:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. & Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.

This story hour combines our programs previously known as Storytime and Wee Read.

Interact with your child as we use books, songs, music, finger plays, and flannel boards to build early literacy skills. Designed for children from 18 months through preschool and their caregivers. 

Scissors & Stories: an "on your own" family storytime

2nd & 4th Monday of each month from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

Books, a craft, and a play activity will be provided by youth services staff in the Story Time room. Come read and play with your child and enjoy your own story time during the open evening hours. 

Story Times
