Adult Summer Reading Program

The Johnston Public Library is excited to offer adults a little motivation to visit the library over the summer. Check-out a stack of books or audiobooks to enjoy indoors or outdoors. Download an ebook or a downloadable audiobook to your favorite device and take a book with you anywhere you travel this summer. Attend a fun adult program held at the library and learn something new. Challenge yourself with a quiz or trivia. Engage in these activities independently, with your children, as a family, in a book club - whatever you love to do. And best of all, earn prize tickets just for doing it.

How do I Join?

  • Visit the Johnston Public Library anytime between June 2nd and July 21st
  • Pick up your "Sounds of Summer Reading Playlist" at the Info Desk

How does it Work?

Complete an activity to earn one ticket into your choice of prize drawing.

  • Read or listen to a book

After finishing an activity, complete a "This is What I Did" ticket and place it in a prize can at the Info Desk. Additional "This is What I Did" tickets are available at the Info Desk. Complete as many activities as you'd like during the program, one activity = one prize entry.
