Adult Summer Reading Program

The Library's Adult Summer Reading program gives adults a little motivation to visit their library over the summer. Participants earn the chance to win great prizes by doing things like checking-out a stack of books or audiobooks; downloading an ebook or a downloadable audiobook; attending an adult program at the library; or taking a fun quiz. Each activity can be completed independently, with your children, as a family, in a book club, or however you choose.

How do I Join?

  • Visit the Johnston Public Library anytime between May 28th and July 7th
  • Pick up your "Spark a Story" packet at the Information Desk

How does it Work?

Read or listen to a book, attend an adult program, or complete a quiz or trivia page (available at the Information Desk). After finishing an activity, complete a "This is What I Did" ticket and place it in a prize can at the Information Desk. Complete as many activities as you'd like during the program, one activity = one prize entry. The last day to submit tickets is Saturday, July 13. Patrons must be 18+ to participate in the Adult Summer Reading Program.
