    We're bringing back board games...virtually! Kids in 6th grade and up can join us as we play board games together online via Zoom and en.boardgamearena.com. This month we'll be playing Boomerang: Australia, a "draft & write" game. Boomerang features a unique blend of set collection and card drafting with the approachable feel of a roll-and-write game. Draft locations from across the Australian continent as you collect sets of activities and animal sightings to gain the most points!     Flirting with the idea of a book club, but not interested in peopling or meeting? We get you. Silent Book Club is all of the book club with none of the meeting. Print copies of the Silent Book Club book of the month will be available at JPL beginning the 8th of the month, while supplies last. If you're feeling social, (as in, social media social), join the JPL Silent Book Club Facebook group and chat with fellow readers about characters, plot, how that one character really bothered you, or whatever else you need to get off your chest.     We all know life is stressful and hectic and this has become much more apparent over the past year. Join Dr. Tess Olson online via Zoom to learn quick and easy techniques you can use in everyday life. These stress management tools will include self-compassion, heart-centered skills, and mindfulness activities. Registration is required for this event. The Zoom link for this program will be sent via email. Dr. Tess Olson is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in the state of Ohio with over 30 years of experience helping people connect with their authentic selves to live a more balanced and heart-centered life. She is also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, HeartMath Certified Practitioner and Emotional Freedom Techniques Advanced Practitioner. She believes in the body's wisdom and focuses on techniques that integrate mind, body and spirit.

    Are you a detail-oriented crafter up for a challenge? Are scissors and glue two of your best friends? If you answered yes to those questions, then this is the perfect challenge for you! Register for one of our giant sloth paper craft kits. (FYI- this craft is not for the faint of heart. It will be a challenge!) We'll give you everything you need to construct your very own 3-D sloth entirely out of paper at home! Then, the first person to complete their sloth and bring it back to the library will win a fabulous Sloth Prize Pack including loads of fun sloth stuff and a $15 gift certificate to a really fun place.
