Summer Reading sign up begins. Reading clubs are available for all ages. Come into the library any time to sign-up, receive your reading log and start reading to earn prizes. You may sign up through July 5, but reading logs must be turned by July 21 to collect reading rewards. Rewards may be collected beginning June 10.

 Craft Day at the Library
11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Stop by the Children's area any time between 11:00 and 6:00 to make a twinkling hanging craft and help us decorate the library! No registration is necessary, for all ages.
Friday May 25 Dream Big with Plants  10:30 am
This 7 week session is designed for kids entering 3rd through 5th grade. Registration for the program begins on May 18. During this program, kids will learn plant basics, plant and take home their own plant, and many more exciting things! Plant based snacks will also be available from time to time. For more information, stop by the Youth Services Desk and pick up a flyer or call the library at 278-5233.
Wednesday May 30 at 1:00 pm The Nadas in Concert
The popular Des Moines band will help us kick off the Summer Program with a concert featuring their new children's CD, Bright Eyed & Bushy Tailed. This concert is for all ages, no registration is necessary.
Saturday, August 4 from 9:00am to 4:00pm
Safety CSI Class with the Johnston Police Department
Ages 11 to 15; Must pre-register online or call 278-5233.
